Writers | Each year, I have the privilege to work with the some of the finest writers in the state of Michigan. Although the publicity is good for my sponsors and guide business, I truly enjoy working with outdoor writers and am proud to call each one of them friends. In 2003 I worked with Bill Parker, Bob Gwizdz and Tom Watts.
| Bob Gwizdz is the outdoor writer for Booth Newspapers. His column is syndicated around the state in the Ann Arbor News, Bay City Times, Flint Journal, Grand Rapids Press, Jackson Citizen Patriot, Kalamazoo Gazette, Muskegon Chronicle and the Saginaw News. Bob's column comes out on both Thursday and Saturday, depending on the paper. June of 2003 found Bob and I casting for muskies on Lake St. Clair. The muskies were biting this day and we caught three, making a nice photo shoot for a great column. In late October we did a piece on smallmouth bass in the Detroit River. Bob lives in Lansing with his wife Judy and son whom he refers to as 'slick' Bobby. Bob has the good fortune to fish and hunt three to four days a week around the state and then write about it. He is the real deal.
| Bill Parker is the outdoor writer for The Observer and Eccentric Newspapers which reach 15 cities in Southeast Michigan. Bill's column runs on both Thursday and Sunday, depending on the city. We did pieces on both May walleye fishing in the Detroit River and the Fall smallmouth bite on Lake Erie this year. During the "research" for our fall smallmouth story, Bill caught his largest smallmouth to date, pictured above at two hairs under five pounds. Bill is also the editor for Michigan Outdoor News, an extremely informative bi-monthly paper which I am a frequent contributor to. Bill resides in Lake Orion, MI with his wife Donna and daughters Jenelle and Kayleigh. Tom Watts is the outdoor writer for The Macomb Daily, the largest newspaper on Detroit's East side. I have enjoyed sharing a boat with Tom on numerous occasions over the past six years. This August we fished together on Lake St. Clair and did a summer smallmouth story with my girlfriend, Laura. Tom is a fellow Michigan State Grad, and we are practically neighbors. Tom resides in neighboring Royal Oak with his wife Kim and Children Sydney, Regan and Harrison. | Call Toll Free to Reserve a Date Today! (888) 536-FISH |
